| Thallus off-white to pale grey, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, black, scattered or sometimes clustered, straight, curved or sinuous, simple or branched, 1–3 (–6) mm long, (0.10–) 0.15–0.20 mm wide, semi-immersed to sessile, with a thin sometimes evanescent thalline margin; lips closed or very slightly open. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 80–100 µm thick, inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, transversely 6–8-locular, 25–35 × 6–9 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |
